One World One Heart 2011

Welcome to the official post and My Artful Muse for this years One World One Heart Event 2011!.
My name is Fiona and I am from Leicester in the United Kingdom. For those of you who don't know me, I am a full time Nurse working in a busy Cardiology unit. In my spare time ( Ha) I love to create Digital and mixed media Collage Art. I am looking forward to discovering new and exciting blogs and hopefully some new friends too.

Gothic Fashion,Chinese New Year and Zetti Fairy ATC.

Another busy week of creating and oh so much more to do. I have participated one again in The Three Muses Challenge. This weeks theme " Fashion " My entry for the challenge has taken on a Gothic theme. Dark and Mysterious. Over @ Deviant Scrap, Finecrafted Designs has a new Kit in the shop "Chinese New Year" Full of Oriental Yumminess and Oh so Elegant. I've had so much fun creating not one but two skinnies with this fabulous Kit. Go check it out. I've snuck in a Lil ATC created with CrowAbout StudioB's ATC Add on to her Zetti Flutterby Fairies Kit. Full of quirky whimsy in a Cute little ATC special. I have so much creating to be getting along with, but simply just not enough hours in the day. Oh well never mind........

Sunday Postcard Art, Zetti Birds and a Valentine Greeting

I was supposed to publish this post last night, but have had a power cut and been without electricity since 11.30 pm last Night. The power finally came back on today at 7.30 pm. It was all due to workmen cutting through a main cable. I've been going insane, but I'm sooo glad everything is back to normal. I have participated in The Sunday Postcard Art Challenge. This weeks theme " Pencils and Pens". Over at Deviant Scrap CrowAbout StudioB has some real cute Zetti Birds in a Kit called "Zetti Bird Junction." Such fun cuteness to play with. Beth Rimmer has a georgeous Valentine themed ATC kit " Addicted to Love " which is to die for. Full of Lovely lovey dovey pieces and georgeous Backgrounds. Artist of choice, Altered Mona and some CT creativity.

It's been another busy week, work wise and creatively, but I've had sooooo much fun. I recieved some wonderful news news this week I have been chosen to participate on Beth Rimmer's CT over @ Deviant Scrap and I'm ecstatic. This lady has a wonderful mix of Vintage and the eclectic in her store so hop on over and take a look. TotallyWild Dezinez has finally released Vol 2 of her grungy overlays. These are a staple part of my stash and I go back to them time and again. so to have another set to play with, I'm in heaven. I have once again participated in two of my Favourite Challenges this week. The Sunday Postcard Art Challenge, this weeks theme " Altered Mona" and The Three Muses Challenge, this weeks theme " Artist of Choice ". The Artist of choice was a hard one as I have so many. But I opted for a relatively new one that I discovered " Casajordi" Boy is that site an inspiration or what,I'm in awe of this very talented artist, go take a look. The piece took me over six hours to complete, but on the whole I'm relatively pleased with how it turned out. Enough from me till the next post.

First post of the year, A challenge and some new Goodies from CrowAbout StudioB and Finecrafted Designs

Hi all, I've been so busy at work recently I just haven't had the time to blog. The Winter months are a very busy time on the wards at the hospital. So with this post I'm playing catch up with all that I have created over the last few weeks. I will be posting quite a bit over the next few days. Some of my Favourite Designers over @ Deviant Scrap have some new goodies in the shop that I have been playing with.
