Deja Voodoo- Image Transfer on Mixed Media Background.

Hi all, I'm here today with my latest creepy creation using one of Rick St Dennis's many fabulous images.

I decided to name this project Deja Voodoo..........you know,  that feeling you get when someone jinxes you, and you swear it's been done before, but you can't remember where or when..................

To start I created a mixed media background on foamboard using DecoArt Media fluid Acrylics. I then fired up photoshop and created my design using Rick's  Voodoo Digital Stamp Set which is available at Smeared Ink. Once happy with my design I printed onto Neenah classic white cardstock and coloured with my copics. I then scanned the design and printed out using my laser printer as this was gong to be an image transfer. I then painted over the main image and skulls in the four corners with DecoArt Media tinting fluid ( 3 coats ) as I didn't want these to appear transparent on the media background. Once dry a coat of DecoArt Media Matte Medium was applied to the image transfer and left to dry. The mixed media background was also given a coat of the Matte Medium and left to dry also. Once dry the background was given a second coat of Matte Medium and whilst still wet the main image was applied to the background face down smoothed over with my fingers and then brayered to get a good adhesion and to remove any air bubbles that had formed. This was then left to dry overnight. Once dry the image was then soaked with water applied with a sponge and the paper rubbed off in a circular motion to reveal the image that had been transferred to the background. A coat of DecoArt Media Matte Varnish was then applied to seal and protect. You can find video instructions on this technique courtesy of Mr Andy Skinner on his blog.

WITCHY CREEPMAS TAG

Hello I'm  here today with a creepy Creepmas creation in the form of a fun Creepmas Tag. I chose to use Rick St Dennis MFA's Digital image Witch Tree. You can find Witch Tree in Rick's Zibbet Store HERE.. I coloured her up using my copics, fussy cut and put to one side. I used a Tim Holtz tag die to cut my tag. I then fired up photoshop  using a digital paper by Abigail Larson to create a background for the tag. I also created a creepmas label as an accent, printed these out and attached to the tag base. I then added the Witchy Tree image using 3d foam pads to make her pop off the tag. A black ribbon bow was then tied to the top of the tag for the finishing touch.

                                                           Here is the finished Tag.

Decembers Progressive Challenge final part with Christmas Party Hat and Creepmas with Airless Chambers.

I'm here today with the second installment of part 2 of the Progressive Challenge over on The Sparkle and Glitter Blog. If you missed the first part, please feel free to go look here.beautiful image called Christmas Party Hat. She's available to purchase if you didn't manage to enter part one and get her free. You never know - it could be you winning and be able to get more images from the store. Zibbet has the largest choice, Etsy has an instant download function. Both stores have their good points.

For my Project I decided to create another tealight box card. Tutorial can be found here on the Stampartic blog.  I coloured up the Christmas Party Hat Lady image with copics then fussy cut and placed to one side. I then proceeded to follow the tutorial to create the box. I then  filled the box with apple and cinnamon glitter scented tea lights. I then created the book cover and matted and layered with cardstock and papers.  The inside was then also decorated and a sentiment attached. The tealight box was then attached to the inside of the cover. The Christmas Party Hat Lady was then mounted with 3d foam pads onto two die cut frames using spellbinders dies  Then matted and layered onto piece of cardstock and paper. Before attaching to the front of the book cover a piece of organza ribbon was attached to the book cover and the main image attached to secure the ribbon in place. A lovely seasonal gift.

Now onto my second project t show you today.

Airless Chambers are still hoisting the banner for the Creepmas celebrations if you share a slightly less than traditional view on the holiday period. It's all good fun, what ever way it's looked at. I know everyone participating is having a blast.

For my Creepmas make I decided to make a hanging star ornament. This beauty measures 5 inches across. I cut the star pieces on my brother scan and cut in Red and Black cardstock and assembled . I then coloured up Rick st Dennis's image Sandy Claws Digi Stamp available in his Zibbet Shop with my Copics. Once coloured fussy cut and attached to the centre of the star with 3d foam tape. attached some Red Glittery string and hung.  I think I am quite pleased how this turned out.

I then proceeded to follow the tutorial to create the box.I filled the box with apple and cinnamon glitter scented tea lights. I then created the book cover and matted and layered with cardstock and papers. Fallen Angel.

I'm here today with a Dark project using Rick's Creepmas Angel Dark Lady  available in his Zibbet Store. I coloured her up with copics going for the warm Grey family. Fussy cut her and put to one side. I used an 8x8 card blank and matted the skull background paper onto black cardstock then attached to the card base. I then die cut a frame using a spellbinders die from black cardstock. I created the text in photoshop, printed onto white card, cut and attached to the black frame with 3d foam to raise a little. The frame was then attached to the card. Dark angel was then attached to the card with 3d foam to make her pop. I then created an insert for inside the card in photoshop, printed, cut and attached to the inside of the card. Quite pleased how this one turned out.

Holly Berry and Glitter Too..............

Hello, I'm here today sharing my latest creation with a little Christmas cutie from Rick St Dennis. Now I don't normally do cute as I'm a bit partial to Rick's Darker images. But for this one I came out of my comfort zone and gave it a go and I even used glitter too...................LOL. I made a Christmas card and as I type it's in the air travelling to an international destination for a special lady. Hope she likes it. I used Ricks HOLLY BERRY IMAGE available in his Zibbet store. Coloured her up with copics then fussy cut her out. I then cut a red and white mat using my brother scan n cut. Ran the white mat through a swirly embossing folder and then highlighted all the swirls with glitter.Rubber Stamped a sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock, then matted onto a piece of red cardstock and rounded the corners. Attached with 3d foam to the card base. Miss Holly Berry was then given the glitter treatment also on the frills and sleeves. Then attached to the card base with 3d foam to make her pop off the card. A Red organza bow was then attached as the finishing touch.
