Mixed Media tag with Smudgy Antics.

As part of my DT commitment for Smeared Ink in association with the Smudgy Antics blog.I decided to create a Tag.
All techniques used to create the tag were learnt in online classes from Andy Skinner using DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics and Mediums.
I embossed the main background using a spellbinders 3d embossing folder and applied a rust technique. This was then mounted onto the tag.  The main focal image used is The Man Digi Single from the Specimen Jar set available at Smeared Ink. I coloured up the image with copics and then mounted onto a chipboard base and inked the edges. This was then attached to the tag base. I then die cut borders using a spellbinders die and painted with Media Fluid acrylic gold paint. The black antiquing cream was then applied and wiped back to give an aged metal effect and  patina gilding wax applied. The borders were then applied to top and bottom of the tag.

Skullkabob Bookmarks with Airless Chambers

Good Morning I'm here today to share with as part of my EDT post over on the Airless Chambers blog  a set of bookmarks  using Skullkabob from Rick St Dennis Zibbet Store I coloured the image up using copics, then scanned into photoshop and printed out. I cut the three images to bookmark size then masked off the image and aged the background using distrees ink and inked the edges. The mask was then removed and put safely away for future use. I then ran them through the laminator to make them more sturdy, punched a hole in the top and finished of with ribbon and twine. A great companion to accompany you with a good read.

RSD Progressive Challenge March-Part 2.

I2m here today with my EDT contribution to part 2 of the progressive challenge over on the

The theme is still
SPRING/EASTER
Basically any project with a spring or Easter theme using an image from either of the shops of Rick St Dennis on Etsy or Zibbet will fit the bill.

There is still the Art Contest and the Colouring Contest on-going in the Facebook Group. The Art contest for finished projects the Colouring contest for just a coloured image. Of course using one of Rick's images is mandatory.
Team B has worked their magic for you today so be sure to head over to the
Sparkle and Glitter Blog to check out their gorgeous makes!
For my contribution I decided to use the fabulous Ekaterina Easter . I coloured her up with copics  and then masked her out and stamped my background using complimenting colours of ink. I was going for quite a simple design so as to show of the image itself. Think I achieved what I had in in mind.

Saturday Inspiration with Smudgy Antics and Smeared Ink

I'm here to inspire you today with a tag created using Creepmas Centerpiece by Teri Sherman available at Smeared Ink. I printed the image onto 300gsm cardstock and coloured with distress inks. I then masked the focal image and made an inky background with distress inks and stencils. This was then cut and mounted onto to mountboard for stability. The edges inked and cotton binding for a ribbon to finish.

I hope you will  stop by The Smudgy Antics Blog to take part in the current Anything Goes Challenge. The info is on the sidebar to your left on the Smudgy Antics Blog. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Smudgy Antics DT Inspiration with the Grim Reaper

Here's my DT Inspiration for Smeared Ink over at Smudgy Antics in the form of a Tag. I used  The Grim Reaper  from Teri Sherman available in the Smeared Ink Store. I coloured the image up with copics then scanned into photoshop . I created my tag background then placed the image in a pleasing manner. Added a gothic frame and to finish the quote. The word fear is from the Other Side of Fear  set also available in the Smeared Ink Store. I then printed out, attached to a tag cut from mountboard , inked the edges and finished with Ribbon.

The Four Corners of Hell with Haunted Design House.

Over at Haunted Design House is our new monthly challenge and our March Challenge is

Stand in the Naughty Corner.

Use something with corners (square, rectangle, triangle) and/or decorate the corners of your creation, and/or make it about being naughty
We're always open to interpretation, but PLEASE nothing sweet and insipid or we'll have to burn it. Make it gothic, make it creepy, make it beautifully twisted and dark Remember, we're now monthly and you can enter up to three macabre creations each month.

I decided to create a cube, it has corners right !!!! I decided on a theme and called it the four corners of hell. A different scene relating to hell on all four sides. I fired up photoshop and created my scenes in striking black and red. I then printed out to size and set to one side. I then gave a wooden cube two coats of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in black. Once dry I gave the cube a coat of DecoArt Media Matte Varnish to seal. I then applied my images to the cube using DecoArt Media Matte Medium. I then gave all four sides and the top a coat of Judikins Micro Glaze and once dry buffed to a soft sheen. I love this stuff as it protects from spillages and prolongs the life of your artwork. I then die cut corners and attached to all corners of the cube to finish.

I do hope you will join us over at Haunted Design House for this months Challenge. The Minions are all straining at the shackles to see what you create.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read.
Hugs Fiona.
