Smeared Ink Reunion Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Smeared Ink Reunion Blog Hop. For all you Smeared Ink Fans out there here is your fix of some of the wonderful stamps that were available from this awesome company and which I was Honoured to be a part of as a member of the creative team. Myself and all the other participants listed in the blog roll below have decided to dust off our stamps and have a little reunion. I hope you enjoy all the wonderful projects and Inspiration to follow. Happy Hopping folks.

For my contribution I decided to create a little journal using one of Smeared Inks ATC Backgrounds as my focal point.

I just love the mystery of all those wonderful faces.. I created my journal using Eileen Hulls Passport Die by Sizzix.

The front and back cover were given a coat of DecoArt Media Black Gesso and then dried. Once dry a coat of DecoArt Crackle Medium for Chalky finish paint was applied and allowed to dry. Once dry a coat of DecoArt Chalky finish paint in Treasure was applied and all the lovely cracks appeared. The sentiment was stamped on the side of the front cover using Andy Skinners Unexplained Stamp Set using Black Archival Ink. Next a chipboard circle was given the triple Embossing Technique and Stamped into while still hot with a stamp from NStudio Designs from Stampendous. Once cooled a coat of DecoArt Metalic Lustre in Iced Espresso was applied to highlight the raised areas and applied to the front cover. Next I gave a chipboard heart a coat of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in gold. Once dry the heart was stamped with the Smeared Ink Faces Stamp with black Archival ink. Then a coat of DecoArt Triple Thick Glaze was added to give the heart dimension. Once dry this was added to the front cover. To finish The journal was assembled and the signatures hand bound with wax thread. I love how this has turned out and will be making a lot more of these little journals.
The blog Roll is listed below so I do hope you hop on over and see all the wonderful projects created.
