                       Fiona  you are here !

For my contribution I decided to alter a grotty old fish picture. A set of four that I picked up in a charity shop for two pounds. Bargain. Here's the before picture.

                                                                       before.

I started off by giving the frame a coat of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in black.  Once dry I applied DecoArt Media Antiquing cream in grey and rubbed back to age the edges. I then fired up photoshop to create my main image. I used a paper from  the Zombie Killa Paper pack from Smeared ink for my main background. I then placed The Anatomy 101 Skull front centrally to the background and printed off onto 300gsm heavy cardstock. I then triple embossed the image using ultra thick embossing powder and then popped it into the freezer for five minutes. Once out of the freezer I then bent the card and voila great big cracks all over the image. I then inked over with black ink  and wiped back to highlight all of the cracks. Looks just like broken glass. I then glued this to a piece of chipboard to make a tile. I die cut an ornate ironwork circle using my brother Scan n Cut and applied this to another piece of chipboard that had been painted grey and stamped using Andy Skinner's new media background stamps. ( I love these ). The main image tile was then gattached to this larger tile.  Ornate metal embellishments were  then aged with DecoArt Media black Antiquing cream and wiped back so it sits in all the nooks and crannies.. These were then strategically placed. This whole piece was then attached to the main frame base to finish.
