Nice Chap

I am currently enjoying playing around with Box Frames and am enjoying the creative process. Here I have created another incorporating my passion for all things Xenamorph from the Alien Movies using DecoArt Media Line.

Products used:-
DecoArt Media Line White Gesso.
DecoArt Media Line Modelling Paste.
DecoArt Media Line Black Antiquing Cream.
DecoArt Media Line Ultra Matte Varnish.
DecoArt Media Line Fluid Acrylics:- Carbon Black Quinaccrodone Gold, Metalic Silver, Phthalo Green Blue.
Andy Skinner Stencil:_ Evolution.
Hot Glue Gun.
Glass Beads.
Chipboard.
Box Frame.

I started by creating the main focal Image ii Photoshop and printed out . I then cut from heavy chipboard my outer and inner frames. The outer frame was given a heavy coat of DecoArt White gesso and while still wet stippled and added glass beads to give an organic texture and left to dry. The inner frame was  stencilled using Andy Skinners Evolution Stencil and DecoArt Modelling Paste. Once dry out came the hot glue gun to add the details. When this was dry the whole inner frame was given a coat of the Metalic silver paint and once dry the whole piece was coated with DecoArt Black Antiquing Cream and wiped back.
The main outer frame was then given a coat of Phthalo blue green  and when dry a couple of washes of Quin Gold and carbon black was applied all over and left to dry highlighting all the lovely organic texture. The frames were then applied to the main box frame and mini cast xenamorph heads were applied to all four corners. A coat of DecoArt Ultra Matte Varnish was then applied to finish. Love how this turned out, think I might do more maybe a box next time.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read.
Hugs Fiona.
